What does it mean to be authentic?
Think about these questions:
- Where and when does something authentic show up?
- What makes something more real than something else?
- Who gets to decide?
- Does it ever get to change? If it changes does it still retain its original authenticity?
You are here to examine the WHY.
Once you have thought about what it means to be authentic, and you have read the articles and listened to the podcast, I want you to draft a first stab at persuading an audience. Who do you think is more authentic and why - Peter? Nikki? Iggy?
Just get some ideas down - don't try to "write a speech" but do dig deep about what you think about this issue of "who is the realist?"
- Knowing the issues
- Knowing the audience
- Understanding the many sides of the issues (there are many more than two sides to any argument)
- Being able to understand the issues in a multitude of ways
